چکیده

Depending on whether frequency domain duplexing or time domain duplexing (TDD) is used, one antenna can be shared by both transmitter and receiver via a frequencyselective diplexer or an RF switch. Additionally, a band-pass filter may be inserted before the LNA to prevent blocking or desensitization by a strong out-of-band interferer. However, both the duplexer and the filter have losses. As these losses occur before the LNA, they have a deleterious effect on receiver sensitivity [2]. Therefore, an LNA with better noise performance can relax the loss requirements for the duplexer and filter.

MGA-635P8 GaAs ePHEMT MMIC 2.5 GHz Low Noise Amplifi er with Superior Noise and Linearity Performance

Cellular base stations (BTS) and microwave relays have detached LNA stages located up in the aerial tower in order to mitigate NF degradation from pre-LNA cable loss. In the BTS architecture, the LNA stage is preceded by a transmit-receive (Tx-Rx) diplexer for duplexing a common aerial and by an interference fi lter for preventing out-ofband blocking or desensitization. However, both duplexer a...

A W-band Simultaneously Matched Power and Noise Low Noise Amplifier Using CMOS 0.13µm

A complete procedure for the design of W-band low noise amplifier in MMIC technology is presented. The design is based on a simultaneously power and noise matched technique. For implementing the method, scalable bilateral transistor model parameters should be first extracted. The model is also used for transmission line utilized in the amplifier circuit. In the presented method, input/output ma...

Noise Performance of a Cryogenically Cooled 94 GHz InP MMIC Amplifier and Radiometer

We have developed an ultra-low noise 94 GHz MMIC amplifier using InGaAsfInAlAsfInP transistor technology. The MMIC designs incorporate a single transistor stage with input and output matching networks as well as gate and drain bias networks. Two MMICs have been incorporated into a single housing providing 10 dB of gain. At room temperature, the integrated amplifier has a measured noise of 365 K...

A New Ultra-Wideband Low Noise Amplifier With Continuous Gain Control

This paper presents a new variable gain low noise amplifier (VG-LNA) for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. The proposed VG-LNA uses a common-source (CS) with a shunt-shunt active feedback as an input stage to realize input matching and partial noise cancelling. An output stage consists of a gain-boosted CS cascode and a gain control circuit that moves the high resonant frequency to higher freq...
